Remedial Massage

Remedial massage tends to be deeper and more targeted. If you have pain as a result of specific injuries: whiplash, falls, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, work-related problems or postural problems, remedial massage can help. Using an in-depth knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, an assessment is made and appropriate treatment is provided for a wide variety of conditions. Some common conditions that can be successfully treated are: Frozen Shoulder, Back Pain, Knee Pain, Headaches, Neck Pain, Achilles Tendonitis, Plantar Fasciitis, Tennis Elbow, Hamstring Injuries, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Wrist Pain, Pelvic Pain and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome.

Skilled manipulation and massage techniques are used, designed to treat both deep and superficial tissues, not dissimilar to those used in sports massage; to bring about pain relief, correcting and normalizing the body’s muscles and soft tissues. Results can be immediate; certainly within a few sessions improvements should be seen.

  • Increased joint mobility
  • Muscular & general relaxation
  • Improved fluid circulation; blood and lymph
  • Breaks down adhesions
  • Formation of strong mobile scar tissue
  • Injury prevention
  • Increased fitness levels
  • Increased muscle flexibility
  • Reduction of swelling
  • Connective tissue normalization
  • Improvement of posture
  • Joint protection and support
  • Deactivation of trigger points
  • Increased mental alertness
  • Greater energy
  • Joint strengthening

General Body Massage for Relaxation and Stress Management

Massage therapy is a time-tested approach to easing tension, both physically and mentally. While it doesn’t replace medical treatment, it can support wellbeing as part of a broader self-care routine. Many people find that regular massage sessions help them manage daily stress and reconnect with a calmer, more balanced state of mind.

Below are some widely recognised physical and psychological benefits of body

massage for stress management and relaxation:

  • Helps reduce muscular tension and stiffness
  • Encourages better circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • Supports healthy sleep by aiding relaxation
  • May help lower blood pressure in the short term
  • Promotes a sense of calm and grounding
  • Can ease symptoms of anxiety for some people
  • Helps interrupt the fight-or-flight stress response
  • Encourages body awareness and present-moment focus
  • May aid in the release of endorphins – the body’s natural feel-good chemicals
  • Offers space to rest, reset and step away from daily demands

While results vary from person to person, many clients report a noticeable shift in how they feel – physically looser, mentally clearer, and more at ease. Massage, when provided by a trained professional, is a safe and supportive way to invest in

your wellbeing.
